At Great Leap, community is everything. Since 1978, we’ve brought people together—elders and youth, artists and neighbors—to create performances that reflect our shared humanity. In parks, classrooms, and cultural spaces, we build connection through movement, music, and storytelling. Every project is a chance to listen, heal, and grow—together.
Upcoming Events
FandangObon is a vibrant celebration of music, dance, and community—bringing together Mexican Fandango, Japanese Obon, and West African traditions to honor our ancestors and the Earth. Born from deep cultural roots and collective creativity, this movement invites people of all backgrounds to dance in the same circle of connection and joy.
A Spotlight
We carry the lessons of history with us. During World War II, the invocation of the Alien Enemies Act of 1798 led to grave injustices—acts we now recognize as a miscarriage of justice. Today, we see unsettling echoes of that past. We stand in opposition to these deportations and invite you to reflect on these parallels through this video.
